Calorie App by Sneeza ("we", "our", "the app") is a calorie and macro tracking application. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
When you create an account and use the app, we collect:
- Account information — email address and display name
- Body metrics — height, weight, age, biological sex
- Health and fitness data — food diary entries, workout logs, weight tracking entries
- Lifestyle data — activity level, drinking habits (drinking days, average drinks per session, preferred drink type)
- Goals — weight goal, weekly weight change target
2. How We Use Your Data
- To calculate your personalised calorie and macro targets
- To generate your weekly "caloric banking" plan
- To track your food intake, workouts, and weight progress
- To provide the core functionality of the app
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a Supabase hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security (RLS) enabled. This means each user can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
4. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (supabase.com/privacy)
- FatSecret API — food nutrition data lookup. When you search for foods, your search queries are sent to FatSecret. No personal data is shared. (fatsecret.com/privacy-policy)
- Sentry — crash and error reporting to improve app stability. No personal health data is included in crash reports. (sentry.io/privacy)
- Expo — app build and over-the-air update infrastructure (expo.dev/privacy)
5. Camera Usage
The app uses your device camera solely for scanning food barcodes. No images are captured, stored, or transmitted. Camera access can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the app via Settings > Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data (profile, food entries, workouts, weight entries, daily targets) will be permanently removed.
7. Children's Privacy
This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
